Ron Paul Dusts Palin and Romney to Win Presidential Straw Poll at CPAC

From CNN:

U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, on Saturday won a straw poll for president on the final day of the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington.

He got 31 percent of the vote. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who won the straw poll the past three years, was second with 22 percent and former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin with 7 percent.

The straw poll provides an early window into who conservative activists believe should be the next GOP nominee.

I agree with Eric Boehlert: It would be swell if CPAC were to hold one of these conventions every weekend. It’s great TV.

Gingrich Does Comedy: The ‘Radical Left Is A Secular, Socialist Machine’ (Video)

The above is from Gingrich’s February 20 CPAC address.

The dude’s doing comedy again, like when he he pressured his wife for a divorce in 1981 while she was recovering from cancer surgery. She was Jackie Battley, his former high school geometry teacher, who he married when he was 19 years old.

Newt Gingrich: still crazy after all these years.
